Our Team at Advance
Annette Thompson - Managing Director
Annette is the Founder and Managing Director of Advance. She has over 15 years experience in leadership and change management, working in large complex organisations and diverse cultures, both as an internal change leader and also as an external consultant.
Annette‘s expertise includes executive coaching, policy and strategy, people and performance management, as well as organisational development.
She is passionate about developing leaders, and enjoys working with organisations to explore how best to promote effective leadership styles and behaviours.
As well as being an experienced coach and consultant, she has a BSc (Hons) in Health Studies, an MBA, as well as being a Master of NLP.
Annette was honoured this year to take up post as Head of the European Coaching Institute for Scotland, the body which promotes coaching standards across Europe, as well as being made a Fellow of the Institute of Leadership and Management.
Ross Maynard - Associate Director
Ross is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, witha Diploma in Marketing, and BSc (Hons) in Hotel, Catering and TourismManagement. He is a registered Investors in People Advisor and hassupported over 250 organisations to achieve Investors in People (IiP)status.
Ross is a trained ‘lean‘ facilitator and is an associate of the leading global lean accounting consultancy - BMA Inc. He is also a Master of NLP,
Ross specialises in organisational development, and has over fifteen yearsexperience of developing and delivering solution - based managementand leadership training across a wide range of organisations.
Ross is the author of "Successful Business Growth", published by Hodder andStoughton; as well as many articles on business improvement.
